PERIOD!DESCRIPTION: EXTREMELY SCARCE & RARE - Vintage 1966 GI Joe - SOTW - Australian Jungle Fighter Uniform with FOIL Chevrons. That's right, FOIL! Have you ever even seen another one of these!!!Jacket, shorts & hat are tagged/marked Hasbro Japan. Includes belt & socks, but NO boots.CONDITION: LOOKS NEW & appears uniform was never on a figure, except for this pic - and I was very gentle. Jacket is super clean with great color & original creases still in the factory stiff material. Buttons & snaps are tightly sewn & look brand new! Sleeves have light residue from chevron glue. (See Pic 6) They were un-attached when I obtained item decades ago & I never attempted to re-install. Please note there is a SUPER TINY 'snag' above top, right pocket. It looks more like a factory cloth issue that was there forever - as opposed to damage, from later abuse or mishandling. (Barely visible - see 2nd pic, but I wanted to mention it.)Belt looks fantastic with no fraying & buckle shines like new.Shorts are super clean & look fantastic with great color, factory-stiff material & original factory creases. All snaps are tightly sewn & look brand new!Campaign hat has zero issues & looks absolutely MINT! Nicest one I've EVER seen - without a doubt! Has a great shine to it; the cloth strap is excellent & brass rivet looks brand new - no tarnish!The socks look great with no damage, but strangely. the top elastic is a bit stretched on ONE. Kind of weird, as the other is MINT & it doesn't really look like either was put on a figure. (It's a pretty common item though & would be easy to upgrade) I probably should've done so myself, but item is being sold exactly as it was, when I bought it. There are no boots included with this lot, otherwise the uniform is complete. I don't know if this had a Medal issued with it, but if it did - it was not included when I purchased the item.PLEASE NOTE: I have not attempted to clean anything & this item was stored in a climate-controlled area.
