Description: Fulper Pottery Vase Flambe Glaze Arts Crafts American Angular Handles Antique Description and Item Information Up for sale is this handled Fulper art pottery squat vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This vase has two angular handles. The exterior glaze is a glossy dark brown and tan flambe; the interior is blue with brown. Unpacked, it weighs 2 pounds 7.6 ounces. This piece stands about 3 1/2 inches tall, and it is 9 1/2 inches long and 7 7/8 inches wide. This pot would be a nice addition to a collection of American art pottery. Identification This antique piece is marked beneath, as shown, "FULPER." Per Worthpoint, this vertical rectangle mark was used between 1910 and 1915. This pot was made in Flemington, New Jersey. Condition This piece looks great overall, with no chips or cracks. It has fine wear scratches to its interior. As made, excess glaze was ground off of the bottom. Also as made, there are patches of tiny glaze bubbles to the interior bottom, and there are a few tiny, scattered glaze dimples elsewhere.
