Description: Up for bid is a very collectible art object designed by the acclaimed American artist FRANK STELLA. Widely referred as the M Centennial Medal, it was published in 1970 by the Metropolitan Musuem of Art (NYC) to celebrate their 100th anniversary. This beautiful multiple is a rhodium plated bronze with polychrome enamel color, and weighs approximately 8 ounces (227 grams). Included is the original acrylic display stand as shown. The multiple measures 3" x 3" x 3/16" and stamped at the bottom edge with the artist's name and the MMA copyright. It is in very good vintage condition with minor enamel loss as shown. The acrylic display stand measures approximately 5.5" x 5" x 2.25" and is in good vintage condition with minor enamel as shown and some chrome oxidation to the back as shown.
