Austenitic Damascus-pattern Damasteel steel is a powder-based stainless steel made from two alloys, 304L and 316L. Each alloy provides a good combination of ductility and corrosion resistance. Thanks to the design, our fingers will never get in the way of the blade. The locking mechanism is operated by a slider located within reach of the thumb on the side of the knife's handle. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of a workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear. The solid thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Smooth and smooth opening is ensured by the gently notched button of the Fingers Safe Opening System or by using a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper).
