Description: A FOUNDER'S GRADE BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD FRONT KNOB AND REAR HANDLE for a Millers Falls No. 9 or 9 C smoothing plane by the Millers Falls Company, Millers Falls, Massachusetts. The earliest Millers Falls planes had Brazilian Rosewood handles, but the planes were changed shortly thereafter. These Founder's Grade handles did not come from a Type 1 Millers Falls plane but were likely used at the Millers Falls factory on later models of the No. 9 and 9 C until they were used up. Both the handle and knob are in essentially unused condition. The original threaded rods and brass nuts to secure the handle and knob to the plane body are included as well. As good as they get.
