Description: Overall condition is acceptable. This is a Book Club Edition because the dust jacket contains a ISBN number on the back and the book lacks the maple-leaf imprint near the spine. There is a gutter code of BB27 but I do not know what printing that makes this copy. Doubleday released the first edition and the BCE edition of the first edition at the same time. As such, it uses the same dust jacket art. The dust jacket has a number of tears, some of which have been tape repaired on the backside of the jacket. The jacket also has some missing chips (notably near the spine), some creasing in several places, and a bit of discoloration. The dust jacket's spine has heavy wear on the top and bottom edges, to include chipping and creasing. The book itself is in good shape, a little corner rounding, and the pages have a bit of discoloration. Disclaimer: Unless otherwise noted, books being offered are used and are not new.
