Description: 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This adorable little doll is an Effanbee “Dainty Baby” doll, which was made from 1912-1929, making her approximately 100 years old at the time of this writing. For her size, she is quite a "substantial" little doll. She measures approximately 11” tall and is marked “Effanbee Dainty Baby Dolls” on the back of her shoulder plate (not to be confused with the “Baby Dainty” baby dolls). She has a composition shoulder plate head and jointed bent arms, with the rest of her body made of stuffed straw. She has molded painted strawberry blonde hair, blue painted eyes, black solid line above her eyes to simulate lid/eyelashes, a little button nose, a reddish mauve painted closed mouth, and rosy cheeks. Her body is in fairly good condition for her age, but does have stains on her cloth. Her composition is in good condition as well, with rubs and scuffs here and there, chipped compo on the back edge of her shoulder plate, crazing on her face, and minor paint loss on the back of her head. A repair was made on her upper left leg; and it appears that her paint was touched up at some point in her little life. She comes in a lovely vintage checkered blue and white dress adorned with embroidered white trim on the sleeves and around the collar and tied in the back, white bloomers, and white knit stockings.
