Description: This antique armchair is a stunning addition to any room. With a rectangle shape and high back, and at the top are hand carved 3 feathers , ( a tribute to the Prince of Wales). The chair features a padded seat, arms, and a caned backrest. The red and green wool plaid upholstery adds a touch of warmth to the room. The chair is made of a combination of wood, cane, mahogany, solid wood, and fabric. This original Chippendale style armchair is perfect at a dining room table, a hall, or at a desk . The armrest height is 27.5'' and the backrest height is 51''. The chair weighs 20 lbs and has a seat depth of 19'' and a seat height of 21''and 24’’ wide. The chair is in good vintage condition, small marks here and there as expected. The caning on the back has a section that needs repair, ( I used mono filament to hold that section together a bit). I would recommend replacingthe entire panel professionally. The seat is newly upholstered, I had the upholsterer use a wool challis shawl as the fabric for the seat!
