NOTE: As with any thermometer, accuracy will be affected by direct sunlight, as it will be affected by ambient body heat. Glass and digital thermometers are designed to be read “in the shade.” So expect higher than normal readings if thermometer is in direct sunlight (due to solar energy), or close to the body (due to radiant heat). These effects will be mitigated somewhat in windy conditions, with steady brisk movement, or with heavy insulation between body and thermometer sensor.
