This is a professionally done cover and not something done in someone's garage with crude tools and rags. The shop uses the best high speed machines, compounds, and polishes to add luster to the aluminum surface. All the exposed surfaces were polished. I save the best covers for polishing. Ones that won't polish out well are saved for powdercoating. Accordingly there is no significant damage to this piece.
