Description: Coin Copper Beaker – 1802 & 1808 1/12 Skillings – Gustav IV Adolf Sweden – Rare Beautiful 19th century copper beaker on a wide foot rim with inserted copper coins by King Gustav IV Adolf (1792-1809). The two 1/12 Skillings minted 1802 and 1808 in Avesta, Sweden, were cut in half (2x obverse, 2x reverse), and re-inserted around the body of the beaker. Extra flourishing was added by punching in a traditional allmoge/folk art-inspired flower reed around and between the coins. No stamps or hallmarks; the people behind the majority of all antique Swedish copper remain unidentified and anonymous.Sveriges Myntbok (1521-1977): SM#63, SM#66Sveriges Myntbok (1521-2021): SMB#63, SMB#66Dimensions (HxW): 4.13x3.75 inch (10.5x9.5 cm)Condition: Light signs of use Please take a moment to review the photos; they are an important part of the description.
