Description: Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Glazed Well Dressed Pottery Male Servant Figurine This listing is for a fine potted Chinese figure from the Yuan Dynasty. It is decorated in an unusual black glaze. Made in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), ie, about 800 years old! About 10 1/2 inches tall About 713 grams in weight The base has been drilled for a thermoluminescence text sample, but unfortunately we do not have the certificate. It costs close to $1000 to get one of those tests done by the time you factor in shipping etc! Good condition as shown. There appears may be some touch up in the black colour. It passes a black light examination, but on the rear upper back the black colour is slightly different in some places. This indicates the figure has had some restoration.
