Description: On February 1, 1904, shortly after Caruso first arrived in America, he entered a Victor recording studio in Carnegie Hall and made 10 recording, all of which are included on this LP. Over the next two years he recorded several more tracks, never recording for any company except Victor once he had signed with them. This LP features a total of 18 recordings from that period, and are considered to be among his finest recordings. The recordings include arias from several composers, among them Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Bizet and Massenet. An excellent collection of early operatic recordings by the incredible Enrico Caruso.
