A. Rhodes - Beverley Alan Rhodes was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in July 1890. He was a Surveyor prior to the Great War, and had prior military service of three years at the Royal Military College, Kingston; and, with 72nd Regiment, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. He lived on Denman Street, Vancouver. Rhodes served as a Major with the 47th Battalion (British Columbia) on the Western Front. A photo of him is on ancestry, On March 10, 1920, in Vancouver, he married Christina Marshal Smith. She was born on November 17, 1888, in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Her parents were Herbert Marshall Smith and Helena Augusta Crisp. In 1921, they were living at 1201 Georgia Street (then called Florence Court; from 1931, the building was called the Banff Apartments) he later owned a Sporting Goods Store, more information on him and his wholefamily can be found online, he had another brother who served in WW1 and one other became a Chief Scout in Kenya.
