Description: Description: Beautiful multi-paneled heavy glass malt powder dispensing jar that would have been seen in the early days of the Soda Fountain adorning the fancy oak back bar along with assorted syrup bottles & dispensers! This is an extremely heavy jar with 16 flat panels around the exterior and a milk glass label inset in a recessed panel across the front. The jar itself is crystal clear without any staining or fogginess often seen on an early commercial jar of this nature. The glass jar does have a 1 3/4 inch chip on the base of it directly underneath the left side of the recessed panel that does not show unless you take the lid off. The lid is original is embossed Borden's twice and fits tight like it should. There are several shallow dents on the top of the lid on the knob from age and use.
