Iconic Italian liqueur brand Campari hired the renowned French-Italian poster designer Leonetto Cappiello to create a number of varied designs across the early part of the 20th century. Campari was formed in 1860 by Gaspare Campari and the aperitif is as popular today as ever. Gaspare's son Davide Campari transformed the company into what it is widely recognised as today in 1926. Iconic designer and innovator Cappiello is known for his works with the likes of Campari, Thermogene, and Maurin Quina. This beautiful poster is perhaps the most iconic of all Cappiello & Campari's collaborations. The dark background and vibrant colour of the orange peel perfectly suits the Italian restaurants & bars this piece was originally produced for. This is the standard size of the design from 1950 and it is in mint condition.
