Description: A rare pair of quality Georgian Regency period round knob handles with long necks and concentric circles/bullseye decoration.With a hand forged steel spindle.Size; 51 mm diameter approx.Weight; pair weighs approx 266 grams.Date; pre 1840.Beautiful handles in very good condition with general wear, the steel spindle fits ok but has a crack through a grub screw hole and the grub screw holes in it dont line up with the holes in the handles. As is typical with early handmade handles, expect some fettling to fit for use as the sockets are a tapered fit to the spindle and the spindle has a round middle so wont work with a modern square socket latch without modification.
