With Jaguar's originals having being extinct for decades, here's a premium quality replacement created by Pauls - it's unique to the Driver's or Passenger's Door on the following XJS models:* 1975 to 1991 pre-facelift Coupes* 1984 to 1988 XJ-SC [Cabriolets] This critical rubber seal prevents water running down the door glass into the door - our first two photographs precisely show the seal in situ within the moulding attached to the driver's door, and the third photograph illustrates the actual seal that buyers will receive. The seal is fitted within the outer Chrome Moulding - the problem is however, that as these seals age, they only 'appear' to be pressing against the door glass as it travels up and down... However so often, originally fitted [now] hardened rubber seals have lost their elasticity over 30 years - frequently owners have been able to slip a piece of paper between the seal and the glass - the subsequent ingression of water contributes to failing or rusty window motors and an eventual rusty door..If you need further guidance as to the application of ANY Part on your XJS - please CALL...
