Description of item for sale: This magnificent pair of oak wood monastery doors with bronze hardware is from Belgium. We date the pair to the mid/late 1800's. They are carved with a beautiful collection of biblical (old testament) scenes. These doors are in very good antique condition with no significant damage. The wood doors themselves are straight and solid with no warping, woodworm, dry rot or other damage except some fine separations of the wood along old seams. The reverse sides are painted with well-worn, discolored paint. Dimensions: Each door is 110" tall, 26" wide and 1-1/2" thick at the edge. Pricing: because we can sell items earlier we don't charge as much. Prices for these advance purchase items are 20-40% below our usual pricing.
