Estimated 1940’s vintage.Most likely made by Imperial for the US Government - issued as a US Army Engineer's knife.3-3/4” closed (plus bail) three-blade “Scout Utility Knife”.Steel bolsters and pins. Steel liners.Carbon steel blades and backsprings.Strong snap on all blades. No wobbleBovine bone handles have great color, no cracks or damage.A used knife – shows light use, has been sharpened. Full blades have stains and patina as the photos show.Bolsters and backsprings have rub marks, stains, patina.The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone.
