Description: American Classical Washstand with Red-Washed Stain Finish and Bird's-Eye Maple Drawer, circa 1830s This rustic New England 19th Century Sheraton style wash stand has one drawer and lower shelf, scroll backsplash, and turned legs. Measures approximately 36.5” H x 19” W x 16.5” D Antique preowned item has patina of age with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, cracks/splits, and abrasions consistent with age and use (underside of top has a later reinforcement plank - SEE PIC). Red wash stain finish is later and with scattered wear and stains. Has some former worming and corresponding marks. Dovetail joinery seen at corners of backsplash. Face of drawer has a burlwood birds-eye maple face and wood knob drawer pull. The bottom shelf surface has a couple of minor gaps at the back. It is a little loose on one side, but snug on the other and overall flat and firmly attached. Legs are sturdy and it does not wobble. The tabletop has a crack front right and one back left that might benefit from a bit of wood filler or can be left as found - will leave that up to buyer.
