Description: Up for sale is a neat wall box / match holder / picture frame or holder. Neat piece of carved wood folk art. Super folky and has 7 hearts. Slightly uneven from side to side (not a perfect carving. Missing the photo. Ends are attached with wooden pegs. Some round nails but they might be later additions. I would still say circa 1900. Just found in the Catskills of NY. Likely made here or in Pa. 9 and 1/4 inches tall. 9 inches across. Condition: Nice condition. Good surface including some crazing. original stained front. Some wear near the opening of the bottom wall box area. Some surface scratches and wear elsewhere too. No repairs. Some loss on the back in the bottom right corner. Wooden pegs stick out some on the right side. Missing the picture. Missing some of the metal nails around the metal back (to hold in the photo). Only has 2 metal nails holding the metal backing on. Some splits on the back but all are stable and tight. See photos and video.
