Description: This unused ornate old Coffin Plaque was made for a deceased member of a private, non-profit organization founded in 1890 by Joseph Cullen Root in Omaha Nebraska. "W of W" Stands for "Woodsmen of the World" Top line in Latin, translates in English to: "though silent he speaks" A physical legacy of the Woodsmen organization were "tree-stump tombstones" provided to members until the 1920's. Casket markers, such as the one in this listing were also provided to members of the organization, though I do not know the dates these were used. There are small holes for mounting. This has heavy tarnish from age. There may be some scratches and/or pitting under the tarnish. The last photo is of the back side. Material: Metal with chrome finishSize: 6" x 5.25"
