Antique Victorian Collar, Cuff and Jewelry Box, 2 Section Click images to enlarge Description This beautiful box comes to us from an estate auction in Western Illinois. It is appealing, desirable, & collectible. This antique collar box was used for storing shirt collars and cuffs. The case is made of wood which is covered in a leatherette. It has two hinged sections which are lined in a silk or satin like red pink fabric. The top section has a lined cylinder where the cuffs would be kept with the collars around the outside. On the back panel of the lid is a brass piece for cuff links or buttons. The bottom section is shallower where shirt studs or other jewelry might have been kept there. Both sections have an ornate brass clasp on the front with simple brass hinges on the back. The bottom of the box is covered with a decorative paper. I believe this is probably from the late 1800’s or very early 1900’s. This piece is presented exactly as it was when acquired. No attempts to clean this item have been made by us. The photos are an accurate portrayal of condition. This box measures 6.5" x 6.25" x 6.25". This will make a great addition to any home or collection.
