Description: This antique Richmond Cedar Works butter churn is perfect for anyone who appreciates antiques and primitives. Interesting piece could be used as a cute plant stand or conversation piece. Crafted from natural wood with rusted metal hardware and metal barrel staves, it bears the stamp of RCW, Richmond, Va. (see photo). Its origins lie in the US-Southeast, making it a piece of history. The paddles still turn easily, although the handle is a bit loose. There is one small missing piece on the wooden rim (see photos). The drain hole has been plugged with wood. There is no handle on the lid. Part of one support leg is gone, but it doesn't affect the churn's stability. It stands level and solid. A small blue piece of plastic has been inserted behind one metal stave to tighten its fit, but it is only visible upon close examination. This antique churn is approximately 15" tall, 15" wide with handle, and 12" deep. It weighs about 11 pounds. Stored indoors and well cared for. Please contact seller with questions.
