Description: Antique Engraved Print 1785 - Bothal Castle, Northumberland, Francis Grose, Pl2 Published in January 1785 by S Hooper, this is a plate taken from Francis Grose's Antiquities of England and Wales. The overall size of the page including margins is approx 200mm wide x 150mm high; the actual illustration measures approx 155mm wide x 105mm high; the reverse side is blank. This is a genuine 18th Century book plate, 230+ years old and as such is likely to have some age related wear, marks, discolouration, spotting, light creasing - usually most noticeable at the margins; please study the scan carefully to establish your own view of condition prior to purchase. Would make a fine framed piece or as an addition to an antique ephemera collection. The item will be placed in a clear plastic protective sleeve and posted in a hard backed envelope.
