Description: This is a very pretty piece of a jacquard coverlet made around 1865. It shows a large building, a church and a house. It could be Boston or Philadelphia or another of the large cities in America at the time. It measures 8” high and 27” long. Navy blue and white. On the back, says “Jacquard coverlet, hand loomed, circa 1865-1870, made by Jay A. van Vivek, Gallipolis,Ohio. Framed in new pine frame 1985”. This is a beautiful piece. I’m 82 and having to downsize my wonderful collections. Thanks for looking.
