Description: A. J. Tower Co. of Boston made these buttons for “Pommel Slickers” otherwise known as cowboy slickers. They were manufactured from the 1880’s to the 1920’s. As shown on the back of one of the buttons they were attached with wire and a small metal disc on the backside. Only one of the buttons has the wire and disc (see photo of backs). They are approximately 7/8” in diameter. Due to age and use they are worn but the company name is still clear and readable. They would be a great addition to your antique button collection. Please view all photos as they are part of the description and provide additional information about color, condition and size. Please note I enjoy finding new homes for each item in my store, therefore all reasonable offers are appreciated and considered.I respect and appreciate all of my customers and try very hard to make buying from me a pleasant experience.
