Description: Very old antique soft paste porcelain cup & saucer by Chelsea Derby. Circa late 1700s. Pieces are white with gold trim and floral swags. Bears gold Chelsea-Derby mark on both pieces. Comes with old wood display stand. Purchased at the General Trading Company in London in the late 1970s. Cup measures just shy of 2" tall. 3.125" with across mouth, and 3.875" wide including handle.Saucer measures 5.25" in diameter. Good condition with no chips or cracks. Both pieces have firing flaws with numerous "specks" in the soft past porcelain.Please see photos for details.
