The clock's theme commemorates the battle of Manila during the Spanish-American War in the Philippines, and we date it to the late 1800's or early 1900's. The front of the clock is cast bronze or a very hard brass and the case that holds the clock works is cast iron. The clock is running and keeping time. The paper dial shows minor fading, but is in generally good condition. The peak of the clock with the portrait of Admiral Dewey is bent slightly backwards and that might be the result of a fall sometime in its life. The brass/bronze front is stamped on the backside with "Patent Applied For" and "P.L. & B" for the Pittsburgh Lamp and Brass Co. Dimensions: 10" high, 8" wide, 2-1/2" deep, & weighs 3 lbs 12 oz.
