Description: 1118PORT1Antique Lithograph illustrating Sevres Porcelain in beautiful rich color. The design was drawn by the artist Edouard Garnier, the lithography was done by Gillot and the lithograph was published in Paris in 1890 by the highly respected firm Maison Quantin which operated between 1876 and 1914. This particular lithograph is one of a large set that illustrated examples of Sevres porcelain whose factory was founded in 1738 under the patronage of King Louis VX. The illustration includes a portrait of Luis XV and several examples of royal Sevres porcelain.Very good original condition with a small stain on the lower left side, which is not visible when matted. The later Guilt Edge French mat is of very fine quality and shows minor wear which would not be visible when placed in a frame. Lithograph size 12 3/4" X 17 5/8", Mat size 17" X 20 1/8".
