Winter hardy in zone 7+, in colder zones they can be dug and stored DRY for the winter. Their fragrance is famous for perfumes. They make a wonderful, long lasting cut flower! These bulbs are small at about 1/4 inch across and less than 1 inch tall. They could bloom by November or December if you have a long growing season. Frequently they wait until the next year. Bulbs larger than this have usually already bloomed and will not bloom again until their offsets reach full size, which takes about 2 years. Proper size selection is the secret to getting Tuberoses to bloom. Basic planting suggestions: 1.) Find well drained soil (you don't want a puddle). 2.) Full to Part sun in a warm location. ( they like temps of 90 degrees or more for the summer). 3.) They have a shallow root system so plant them just under the soil and water heavily. Then water at least once a week.
