It is achieved by the appropriate organization, training of personnel and maintenance of the available means and systems. Furthermore, the undertaking and carrying out of air operations, at any given time, in total success.HistoryThe 332 Squadron was established on August 11th 1989 in the 114 Combat Wing ? Air base Tanagra with the call sign ?Hawk?, and was housed in the facilities of the 334 Squadron, which had already been transferred in the 126 Combat Group in Heraklion in Crete. The Squadron immediately began the training of the pilots in the new aircraft M-2000EGM, with aircrafts that already belonged in the 331 Squadron and were maintained by its technicians. The first pilots of the Squadron had great experience in the aircrafts Mirage F-1CG and F-4E Phantom II.On November 1st 1989, the Squadron received its first 14 aircrafts (10C, 4D), while on July 15th 1990, the initial training was completed and there was a reallocation of the pilots and the technicians, so that the two Squadrons would be at the same level in terms of manpower.In November 1990, Squadron was successfully evaluated by the Hellenic Air Force Tactical Command, and was declared operational. Since then, it began the procedure of missions of interception and readiness over the Aegean. With the delivery of the air-to-air Matra Super 530D missiles and the integration of the modern weapon system Integrated Counter Measures System (ICMS), the M-2000 was featured as the most complete aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force.Since March 2007, the Squadron assumed, from the 331 Squadron, the role of Air power contribution to counter-maritime operations (APCMO), after receiving the AM39 EXOCET air-to-surface missiles and integrating pilots and technicians experienced in the specifics of the mission.On January 19th 2022, the first six (6) Rafale F3R aircraft landed at 114 CW and joined the 332 SQ, replacing the M-2000 aircraft.
