In 2002 the London Werewolves of the Frontier League of Independent Baseball moved to Canton, Ohio and were renamed the Canton Coyotes. Howlin' Coyote was sponsored by the Ohio Lottery and distributed to fans at Thurman Munson Stadium on June 22, 2002. After the 2002 season the Coyotes moved to Columbia, Missouri and became the Mid-Missouri Mavericks.
