Berlin - German - Wall. (Pre Berlin Wall). Berlin. East German border guards, with a wounded would-be refugee in back seat, drive away from a watch tower near the Berlin Wall Sunday. Witnesses said the man was attempting to cross the control strip, about 300 yards wide, when the guards fired at him and wounded him in the legs. The witnesses said the guards then dragged the man to the watch tower and took him away in a jeep. Picture was taken from West Berlin side of the wall. Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches.
