Description: 1970s Vintage TONKA Semi-Truck Lime Green Cab-Over Turbine This toy is 7"L x 4"W x 4.75"H and weighs just under 1 lb. Shown with a 12 oz soda can for relative size. This model is a bit different from other Tonka turbines I have sold from my dad's vast collection of used toys, in that it has a triangular windshield that extends from the top of the cab to the bottom of the front console. It does not wrap around to the sides. The three other windows are quite a bit smaller. No cracks or chips in any, but there are lots of superficial scratches as typically found in plastic windows from the era. Some dust and soiling inside the cab, so it isn't airtight. The lime green paint on its pressed steel body has held up fairly well for a 50-year-old toy. Still, there are tiny nicks, scratches, and spots of missing paint here and there. The metal bumper is intact and has four plastic headlights with a cross-hatch pattern. One of the lights on the driver's side has a chunk missing (see seventh photo). The undercarriage is super clean, as are the cream-colored wheels. The brand-stamped tire sidewalls look good (see sample photo) but tread shows wear. All in all, a decent-looking Tonka survivor!
