Description: 1970 Maryland vs. North Carolina ticket stub from game played on 9/26/1970 at Byrd Stadium. The Tar Heels defeated the Terrapins 53-20in front of a crowd of 20,806. This was Bill Dooley's 4th season as head coach of the Tar Heels. They would go on to an 8-4 record, losing to Arizona St. in the Peach Bowl. Tar Heel star running back Don McCauley broke O.J Simpsons single season rushing record with 1,720 yards on his way to being named All-American and finishing 9th in the Heisman Trophy. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and played 10 seasons for the Baltimore Colts in the NFL. Maryland was coached by Roy Lester. This ticket is in VG condition with a small subtle crease and edge wear. Please see the photos for details.
