Description: This is a high quality high resolution reproduction on 70 lb. thick stock paper (see my feedback) of an 1885 Atlas/Map of the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan and includes Cooper Union from Rivington to East 14th Street and from Avenue A to Fourth Avenue and includes Alphabet City section too. The map measures 24x36. It is in MINT condition. Historical landmarks include schools, factories previous landowners and old roads that are superimposed over the existing 1885 roads and date to the 18th Century. Note in photo 3 St, Mark's Cemetery in the blue outline has been built over with brick and wooden structures! Note: The index page is just a reference and does not appear on map. The roman numerals indicate how many stories each building is and each color represents the type of structure. Yellow is wood, grey is concrete, blue is iron and pink is brick. The Xs through the buildings indicate it is a barn or stable. Brown indicates stone structures.
