Description: Up for sale is this rare antique 1794 early American imprint of Perrin's, "A Grammar of the French Tongue, Grounded upon the Decisions of the French Academy; Wherein all the Necessary Rules, Observations, and Examples, are Exhibited in a Manner Entirely New." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear with some corner wear and edge wear. There are a couple of small sections of minor cracking to the outer leather joints; however, the binding of the book is good and sound. The from fep has a fairly large chip out of the bottom corner. The interior is toned from age with some occasional foxing, soiling & grubbiness. Page 81/82 has a few small tears and a chip which affects a small portion of text. The book lacks a couple of the advertisement pages at the rear, though the actual text of the book is complete. There is a period name inscription to the top margin of the title page and a few pages have some period manuscript notation in fountain pen. Along with that there is likely the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a creased corner, other small chip or tear, minor marking, etc. The book measures approximately 6 1/2 inches by 4 inches. It is 368 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
