14k Yellow Gold & Amethyst Tennis Bracelet Vintage Estate Jewelry Rose de France

Description: Beautiful estate fresh gold and amethyst tennis bracelet. A nice pale purple on these stones, very understated. Pale amethyst has been popular at different points in history. In the recent past a dark amethyst was more coveted. A pale lavender shade has currently made a big come back and is now known as “Rose de France”. Deep violet amethyst can be nice but there is a place for a more subtle purple at times. The bracelet is marked for 14k gold. There is also a hallmark or makers mark that is a bit faded that I can’t make out. This came from probably one of the finest fine jewelry collections I’ve ever seen go to auction. Excellent condition with no issues to mention. It weighs 8.3 grams total. At time of listing 8.3g of 14k gold has a melt value of $384. Of course a bit of the weight here is the amethyst stones but the vast majority is likely to be the gold weight. That’s one of the great things about owning gold jewelry, in a pinch it can easily be converted into money. Folks throughout time have valued good jewelry partially for this reason.
