Description: I am a semi-retired machinist that needs to stay busy in my little workshop at home. It is a nice little tap wrench made from drawings in Guy Lautards Bedside Machinist Reader books, and here are a few details about this product. The tap wrench is approx 3 inches long and will accept up to 1/4 - M6 tap. Body is machined from steel then black passivated. The thumb screw is stainless steel the lock pin is made of tool steel. It is entirely machined by myself using processes and technics that I learned from from the old time machinists when I was just beginning my career more years ago than I care to admit. I am using Hardinge machinery and tooling that is from the 1950s and 60s. The knurling tool is made by Brown and Sharpe and dates to the early 1900's. It is hard to believe that this stuff is still relevant in today's world. Listing is for the tap wrench only. No tap or any other items are included. Thank you for looking.
