10 pc Antique H. Ohme Silesia Old Ivory #200 & 33 Chocolate Pot Cup Saucer Set

Description: This lovely set stands the test of time. There is a reason the Herman Ohme 'Old Ivory' line is still in demand - it is just gorgeous with its ivory background color, and beautiful floral and fauna patterns. This one has sepia tones, plus some greens, and the gold edging which is an an art deco style. The pot, lid, and cups are all pattern 200. The saucers are pattern XXXIII (33), which are as I purchased them some years ago, and I think look great together. Most Old Ivory does work well together because of the ivory background they have in common, and the overall softer hues that are used on the porcelain. While it was made as a chocolate set (the wider spot was made because they didn't use chocolate powder in those days - they melted chocolate and it often had some minor chunks left in there where would clog the spot if it were smaller), it also works as a fun tea or coffee set. The cups are small, as the chocolate was also thicker and more intense in those days, like a slightly taller demitasse cup. These mix well with a lot of other patterns, though. It would be a delightful gift, or addition to a collection. I am proud of the items I sell, and strive to provide accurate detail in both pictures and words.
